Do women actually like applying make-up or is it a chore?

God yeah I love it! Its like when you were a kid and you used to pinch your mums to feel grown up, but now you can buy your own its great, I love any excuse to try something new make upwise, tonight for example Im going to a Haloween fancy dress as a bad fairy and cant wait to mess in my make up box.





I also think its a way to express your self as as an indvidual, much like clothes are. Im well know for different cloured eyeshadows, and i have really long lashes natuarally so I love putting loads of mascara on to make them extra long and curly.





I would never say its a chore and I get up at 6.15 every day to get to work! Not to trowel on the make up mind you I work far away from home! It takes me bot 15 mins of a morning normally, its just at the weekend it takes longer so I can have a play around! Im just a big kid really woohoo! Bring on the fun!

Sometimes its fun, sometimes it's a chore. Depends on the state of mind.
I love applying make up for a night out but hate applying make up for things like going to work

I like applying stuff like eyeshadow and experimenting with them, but things like concealer are boring (and kinda depress you!). If it's for a big night out, it's all fun though.
I could see how some women feel it is a chore, but I love it! Its like my own little way to play dress up still even thoug i am a mom of two young girls. I like to play with different styles and looks. I also like to make makeup. With minerals, it my hobby.
I love applying it - it seems so much fun!!!! trying it on and finding bits that work. I dont wearit to change my whole face, i wear it to feel good and accentuate my good points!

Id love to wake up, have a quick wash and go! Its the same with my hair, Id love to just get it shaved or cut short in a nice style but I wouldnt suit it!

I dont wear make up because it is addictive. Once you start wearing it its hard to stop without feeling like you need it and this is sad. People look like monsters when they are without it and they have worn it for so long. Example: Hogan's wife. Why dont people love their skin for what it is? All these women on here complaining that putting on make up is a chore? tsk, tsk, tsk. Why waste your time and money?
i love appling it but some wome need a spade to put it one
sometimes i don;t mind it but other times I just can't be bothered. If it's for work then I can't be bothered but If I'm going for a night out, I love it !

well, i go through stages with my make-up. Sometimes i wear loads... other times i wear minimal and then there are days when i use one item. This makes me feel better about myself- as i dont want to become reliant apon wearing it all the time.





Although, I rarely leave the house without some form of make-up on my face...

It really depends on WHY the women is applying make - up. For some it can be a chore as their boyfriends / fiance / husband practically demand it. Though for many women it is a way to be creative and look good. Looking good means feeling good which is a very important factor in any ones life male or female.

if youre going somewhere special its fun unless youre late or stressed, if its just for everyday wear its a chore. covering blemishs is a drag.lucky i dont have any!
It's just one of the things we do without thinking about it, like laundry and doing the dishes and all the other stuff we do. Only difference is that we look and feel better afterwards (or at least those who don't overdo it).





Personally I don't usually wear much makeup so if I don't feel like it, I don't so it's not a chore.

NO, It's not a chore, we do it because we love it and it enhances our beauty which makes us feel great but on the other hand we can also go without make-up and still look good. Did you know that men also use make-up these days?
I like applying makeup. I wouldn't say it's a chore at all. It's how men like working on cars. We like to work on our makeup.

i enjoy the results and young girls like it because it makes them feel more mature and yeah i guess if you have a new expensive product it makes you feel worthwhile whereas on bad days it can help you put a better face out to the world...

I am a hairdresser back home I'm used to put make up everyday . and it's better if your not so beautiful.
yes it's a chore ... but no different to shaving, or washing, or cleaning your teeth. All of these tasks go towards making you a more acceptable person in the workplace and community.
