How to avoid applying too much make-up when doing a touch-up?

Is there a way to avoid applying too much make-up/foundation/powder when doing touch-ups on a face that already has make-up on it?

Thanks! How to avoid applying too much make-up when doing a touch-up?
Like others said, just apply a very small amount, and do it only when you need it and where you need it.How to avoid applying too much make-up when doing a touch-up?
use a long lasting base and when applying your powder use a brush (a loose one. if its to dence then it will apply to much) also gently tap the brush before applying it on your face. if you think you have to much on then just take a paper towel or tissue paper and gently ';dust'; your face this will take any excess off. also use a fan brush to apply your blush.
try not to reapply powder or concealer. if you want to touch up, redo your eyeliner, mascara, and put a little bit more blush. if you retouch w/ powder or concealer, you might not look so good.
I would not use foundation in a touch-up. It could mix with the powder on the face already and make a gooey pastey mess. Blot the face with a tissue to remove excess oils and powder, then touch up powder. Don't try to touch up mascara either, because it will get really thick and freaky looking. Powdered eye shadows are your best bet there. Just use one quick swipe of the shadow, because there may be more still there than you realized, and you don't want to overdo it.
KEY WORD ';TOUCH UP'; JUST APPLY A LITTLE YOU DON'T ANT TO LOOK TO TRASH WHEN DOING A OUCH UP. i DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW THEY WOULD.

Good lighting and the right brushes are key.

Plus, use a blotting paper (Mac and Mary Kay sell them) to get rid of excess oil before reapplying your makeup. Otherwise the oil in your skin can ';grab'; onto the makeup and make it look too heavy or blotchy.

use a full bristle brush to dust off any excess makeup when you are done..or use a tissue and lightly sweep over the face that works just as well as the brush.
