Everyone is different. I had a Jessener's peel in August and had a 4 day down time. I'm getting another one next week, since I will be off of work for the Thanksgiving break and not going anywhere. Personally, I looked like heck for 2 days and didn't put on makeup for 4 days. Day 3 and 4 were so good, I didn't need makeup...well....maybe a little mascara.Chemical peel, how long after applying make-up?
well it depends on what chemical peel your referring too.
a microdermabrasion is a superficial peel which is very light, no pain, no downtime, a little redness like a sunburn. the cost is inexpensive 100.00 per session. you'll notice results after one treatment but you'll need at multiple sessions to maintain maximum results. you can apply make-up immediatley.
the blue peel is a meduim peel which requires local sedation if you can't tolerate the burning sensation. it is painful, you'll have downtime which your skin will peel off for about 7-10 days. you'll have to stay in the house due to your face being blue. the cost is like 500.00 per session and you need several sessions to maintain results. you'll have to wait up to 10 days to apply make-up.
the deep peel which is a laser peel. co2.......... which is veryyy painful, you'll need to be put to sleep for this procedure.
there is alot of downtime for up tp 6 months to a year. there is alot of complications with a laser peel. it can cause pigmentations problems, severe scarring, but results lasts longer but there isn't ANY plastic surgery that's going to stop the signs of aging. costs is like 3,500-5,000.
i have had a microderm and a blue peel and i like the microderm the best. hope i helped ya.
after your skin has healed; that is, when you cleanse your face,
you don't feel the sting anymore, which means your skin is not peeling anymore. :-)
