How can I correctly apply my make-up without looking like a clown?

I use Bare Minerals. First I put on the Fairly Light Foundation. Then I use the Light Foundation as a concealer. After that I use Warmth and then I put on my mineral veil.

But sometimes it seems to cake up around my nose and forehead and I look like a clown. I can't stop wearing it because I like to cover up my acne.

Do you have any tips on how to fix this problem and possibly help me apply my makeup better? How can I correctly apply my make-up without looking like a clown?
put on your skin color foundation and apply a light natural eye shadow.

Sheer lip gloss. You will look really natural. trust me.How can I correctly apply my make-up without looking like a clown?
always remember less is more!
ah there is this perfect book for you called MAKE-UP BOOK! and it has everything you need to know about make-up. all you do is download it and then bam you got it. costs little and has EVERYTHING IN IT.

i think you shud check it out. i just got done reading it.

go here ---%26gt; www.jessierose.webs.com
befor u put on your bareminarals i would put like a light liqued foundation on then apply the bareminarels..

i personaly use bareminarels also n thats what i do..
maybe get a cream concealer and when you put on your powder make sure you tap the excess off so that it doesn't all go on in one spot and look caked on. just make sure you blend well. i'm sure youtube has a video to help that
I sometimes just end up beginning cheap and using several types. Do what fits your situation and Im sure your gut will be right. I like http://BrandsMakeup.com

Do u think i should let mi natural beauty show or should i apply make-up?

Mi style is latino or wild or hip-hop so wat do u think?Do u think i should let mi natural beauty show or should i apply make-up?
Well natural beauty is a great thing, but it's also okay to add a little makeup every now and then. Just don't let your makeup make you look like a clown.Do u think i should let mi natural beauty show or should i apply make-up?
If you honestly think that you are truly beautiful, than you should share that beauty with the rest of the world!
Whatever you think is best for you. However, if you decide to wear makeup, go as natural as you can. Use almay's line for your eyes, loreal's ture match for the rest of your face. Only put on as much makeup as you want, but the key to makeup is that you try to look as natural as possible. Makeup should enhance your face, not change it.

Also, dont freak out about how much makeup you apply. I use at least 15 diffrent types of makeup, 5 or 6 diffrent brushes, and I have a whole skin care thing to make sure that I always look young. No one can tell that I wear makeup (unless I put on lipstick instead of lipgloss) and everyone freaks out when they find out that I wear even a small amount of makeup. Some people think that in order to look natural, you only need two things of makeup, but in reality you need to use diffrent things to blend it in with your skin so that there is no diffrence between your skin and the makeup.

Good luck!
those woman above give great tips about make up and plus you can go to your local mall and at department stores they can give you make up tips and what to wear and sephora is great store and no it is not department store but it is store just not beauty stuff like make up and skincare and if you have one near you they can give you a free make over and you buy the stuff on line too i have used it and it is good stuff but it is little pricey but totally worth it
both. makeup should be worn to enhance what you already have and conceal flaws and imperfections. play up your natural beauty!!
Make-up doesn't have to cover your natural beauty and shouldn't. Make-up should enhance and draw attention to it! Go light with your make-up..focus on either your eyes, your lips or your cheekbones. A Mary Kay beauty consultant can help you with what's best for you!!
natural beauty is the best
naturale baby ...you will appreciate this move as age sets it
if u think u are beautifull u dont need make up but if u want to feel better about urself use it

its up to u
I'm into the same style as you. You can apply a little make-up but not to much.

I mostly apply a little eye shadow and some clear or colored lip gloss. It always goes for me.
keep your natural beauty but if you are going to wear makeup keep it simple just a little lipgloss and mascara or something the key is to keep it natural
natural but if u were to apply makeup make it so the colors are neutral not to dramatic like browns and stuff.

How to Apply Make Up?

I'm 14 and I want to learn how to apply make up. like how to make your eyes intense. And if there are any tips or websites I can go to.How to Apply Make Up?
I just found this great video on youtube yesterday with easy makeup tips. There's 3 parts to it, so you might have to search a little.

http://youtube.com/watch?v=pXLEZW8W4PkHow to Apply Make Up?
The best way to make your eyes stand out is to use a good mascara that will lengthen and thicken...try L'oreal Voluminous mascara. Another technique would be called tightlining which is a method of lining the eyes. It's better to use a gel liner like MAC Fluidline but a pencil will work also. Instead of lining your lids above the lashes...use your other hand to slightly lift your lids while looking down into a mirror. Take the brush or pencil and line the small strip of exposed skin right below the lashes and try to press as much color as possible into the lash root. This trick is amazing because it does not look like you have any makeup or liner on but it gives your lashes a very intense and dark look. good luck
since you're still a bit young..a lot of eye makeup isn't the best way to go..you want to look like you're not wearing much at all and you definitely want to look your age and still show of your natural beauty..definitely start out with a good cleanser and a moisturizer with SPF..SUN PROTECTION IS KEY...if you're skin looks good then your makeup will look good...i say a very light foundation that's not too heavy would be the best or a tinted moisturizer with SPF like the one cover girl makes..use a very little bit at a time so it's not too heavy..a little bit of powder and once again use a small amount..a little mascara and maybe a baby pink lip gloss...if you want to go a bit further you can use just a tad of eyeliner and if you're going to use eyeliner go with a dark brown one just on the top lashline..dark brown eyeliner looks most natural on all skin types..black may be a bit too harsh on you considering your age especially if you apply it too thickly..i hope this helps you out :]..always remember if you're confident with yourself then you won't need much makeup to get noticed or to feel beautiful :]
wooooooooooooooooooow, you don't know how? must I go over the steps?

You take the brush and spread it in the powder, apply to the eyelids, thats eyeshadow

for eyeliner line the eyes with the pencil!

for blush dip the thing in the powder and apply to the cheeks

for mascara! wipe upwards with the brush, which you have dipped into the bottle, lip liner-you line those lips! and lipstick, make the shape of your lips with the stick and fill them in, don't go out of the lines, has your mother never taught you these things? I taught myself
go to a nice dept store and get a make over and they can show you how to properly apply makeup
Mac ha the best make-up so try these

What's the best way to apply make up?

I have skin that can get very dry but if i use some kind of lotion it get very oily, i hate having to reapply my powder so i don't look oily. and also if i put on make up, at first it looks fine but then somehow thou the day it gets worse, for ex. my skin stars to peel( i don't know how to describe it, it sort of gets dry???). Sooo what's the best way to apply make up?What's the best way to apply make up?
Use an oil-free lotion.

You have difficult skin and instead of working against it you have to work with it.

Part of the reason why your skin peels is because it's not getting the moisture it needs. So start with the oil-free lotion, apply night and day and then apply oil-free foundation. You'll have to apply powder when oily so only apply powder to absorb the shine thru-out the day. And don't use regular powder, only use translucent or blotting powder. What's the best way to apply make up?
Well usually i take a little pack of lotion with me... so then when my face gets dry i just take a LITTLE bit and then rub it on that spot and around it too! So I put on eye shadow, Mascara, Eye Liner and SOMETIMES blush..... but you always don't have to reapply it.... Nobody face it perfect.... its fine if it looks oily or dry.... just take a dab of lotion and apply it..... It think that will help your skin problem.
here is a sit ethat talks about it

if your looking for glamourous, remember if you going to do something, do it big. Apply a whole case for each side of the face. it may seem a bit much but trust me, most will soak in and lieave your face a soft smooth, creamy feel.
layers of foundation

dark eyeshadow
use bright vibrant colors.
I think they use airbrush foundation. Try that

Can a person without a cosmetology or facial license apply make-up to people for money without a license from the state?Do I need a license to apply make-up (freelance style) in Texas?
If your going to work in a salon or other places like that you have to have a license but if you just advertise yourself and have your own business of freelance makeup then it's perfectly fine.Do I need a license to apply make-up (freelance style) in Texas?
it depends if you are working for a business. if your friend is going to pay you to do her makeup, thats fine. but if you were say, going to work at a salon, then you would need a cosmetology degree. i hope i could help!

How do I apply make up so that I look older?

I'm not sure really why you'd want to look older. Seriously, you should try to look your age. But, if you hadn't noticed people in their 20's and 30's that aren't like.. trying to hard to impress some, don't really wear much make-up. They wear mascara, and really like the ';Dramatic Eye'; look. To get that ';Dramatic Eye'; look, use VolumeExact mascara by CoverGirl, LineExact by CoverGirl (but if you don't like liquid liner, I suggest using such a Very Black pencil liner), and blues, aquas, and purples are really in with the 20 year olds now. They like to swipe the eye shadow from tops lashline to the end of your eye (the one closer to your nose..) and they also do the same on the bottom lashline, but, not a THICK line. Then swipe a little eyeshadow (A diffrent color than you used on your eyelid) under the eyebrow. And, velve lips look older. To make a velvet lip, take a lipstick like Wet n Wild Silk Finish Lipstick in Berry Frost (you can find it in drugstores such as CVS). First you put the lipstick on your finger, and put the color on your lip with your finger. Then you blot with a tissue, and dab on a second layer (with your finger again) of lipstick. If you don't like the Wet n Wild color I suggested, look for other rose colors. And, your cheeks should be lightly powder with a rose color, also. Try Jane Be Pure Mineral Blush in Rose Satin. Use a powder brush to dust the apples of your cheecks (smile to find them) in a circular motion and then blend upward toward your temples. But, don't apply too much blush, you might start to look like a cherry. Especially since you have lighter skin. Try the look, and it doesn't cost to much. The blush is $5 at drugstors, the lipstick is $1, the eye shadow is $3-5, the mascara is like $4, and liner can range in price. Have fun with the look! Expiriment with the different products I suggested to you, Or combine them to make on look! It looks really nice :)How do I apply make up so that I look older?
pack on heaps of foundation and make sure u have black eyeliner rimmed around ur eyes..How do I apply make up so that I look older?
u can tie up ur hair or jus gve it a rough look if u wanna leave

u can go 4 bth dark or light shades depndng on ur complexion

go heavier on ur eyes with thick eye lashes, eye liner n eye shades n carry d rite kind of attitude.
lots of black eyeliner on top n bottom....red lipstick n a shade darker lip liner...............dark eyeshadow....some blush....
    Don't's:

    -Have really bright lip glosses

-Make your makeup clumpy and messy

    -Go overboard

-Experiment with the makeup in the morning right before you leave the house. Experiment with it the day before so you know how it looks like.

-If you're a teen (like me), don't try to look too old...it will be awkward instead of chic

    Do's:

    -Pick colors that suit you

-Ask a few friends or family how you look before you leave the house

-Look at magazines and pick the women you think are pretty, and try to copy their look

-Pencil eyeliner is easier to put on than liquid

-If you're going to buy at a dept. store, go to a brand stand that will let you sample the makeup

-Instead of thinking how pretty it looks in the package or the celeb, think of how it'll look on YOU
    -bronzer

-blush on the bottom parts of ur cheeks, a natural looking shade

-make ur self look older by doing ur eyes right

    -shadow

    -eyeliner(pencil)

    -mascara

for your lips, usea sheer gloss, not too much though or you'll look overdone

I am applying at a new Estee Lauder make up counter how do I impress their reps.?

A department store in my town is getting a Estee Lauder and Clinique counter . i have an interveiw with the stores managers and that doesn't worry me . but i am a little intimidated by meating with the make-up companys represenatives. what should i expect in the interveiw and what should i do to impress them. if anyone out there has any experience with the 2 companys could you give me some tips.I am applying at a new Estee Lauder make up counter how do I impress their reps.?
I could sell Estee Lauder makeup because I wear it and I love it. On the other hand, I could not sell Clinique makeup because I think it's crap. I would suggest you go to another store and check out the makeup lines for yourself (no purchasing necessary) so you can get a feel for what's great about the products. They are looking for someone who can be enthusiastic about the makeup, because when you love something it shows, and it makes people want to buy it too. At Macy's, they make you wear the makeup you're selling when you come to work, so you'll get familiar with it anyway once you get hired. As long as you're friendly and willing to learn, you'll be fine.

Here's what I love about Estee Lauder: The products are long lasting, the color selection is great, the packaging never breaks or cracks, and the fragrances smell good and are the kind that everyone likes. Their lipsticks are great, and the Projectionist mascara is perfection. Their Pure Color Eyeshadows are the only ones I wear because they last all day, and the colors are rich and creamy, even though it's a powder.

(I won't mention Clinique since I don't care for the line except to say their powder blushes are very finely milled and go on like silk on your skin. I do like their blush.)I am applying at a new Estee Lauder make up counter how do I impress their reps.?
    Hiya

Well the most important thing is to show them that you know enough about what shades suit each individual person just by looking at them and that you know alot about makeup in general.

    Hope this helps !x

How do you apply make-up, and make it last throughout the school day and p.e.?

i use mac cosmetics and it lasts me pretty long even through p.e.How do you apply make-up, and make it last throughout the school day and p.e.?
A good way to make any cosmetics last is to use a good primer. I stopped using mine though because it was making my foundation which is a mineral powder separate when my skin got oily. Now I just use sunscreen and moisturizer and then aloe vera gel with a bit of smashbox anti shine mixed with it for now, until my rice powder primers come in via the mail.

Using a setting translucent (ie no colour) powder will help keep it on longer as well.

Get a foundation that is for your skin type. This will help to make sure it stays on properly and looks right. And moisturize enough before using any makeup, otherwise it will make skin more oily. You could also try a setting spray, or glycerine and water in spray form (same as a setting spray only about 20 bucks cheaper.)

For eyeshadow, just use a primer like Urban Decay's Primer Potion. How do you apply make-up, and make it last throughout the school day and p.e.?

Did anyone else notice how incredibly well the Iranian women had their make-up applied?

I mean, they go to a street riot and everyone of them looks like they just came from the beauty parlor... I respect other women who take the time to look good no matter the occassion. Do you think it is because their face is all they can show that makes them take so much time?

I actually find some of the Iranian women quite attractive.
They're women, they like to wear make-up as much as any American women.
Maybe they're horny since their husbands have been screwing the sheep instead of them.
When was the last time you had a BF ? I am guessing you're lonely and depress that's why you're asking moronic questions
Could be, orit could be that they are just naturally prettier than ....................and don't need a lot of make-up.

  • I have uneven eyes, one with 1 lid and the other with 2. How can I apply make up to make them even?

I have those wierd eyes due to a trachoma surgery when I was young. I had one-lidded eyes to start with, and I am Asian. After the surgery, one of my eye became two lidded and look slightly bigger than the other one.

I don't really care until recently when I started learing make up and I found it is really hard to make them even. the make up makes the two-lidded eye looks even more bigger than the other one.The one-lidded eye is especially hard to deal with, upper-lid liner can not be seen, I also can not curl the eyelash because the lid will prevent them to be curled. However, all of these lining and curling work extremely well with the two-lidded eye and it looked fantastic. But when you put them together, the gap between the two eyes broaden.

I don't know how to apply make up that makes them look even. Please help. Thank you!!!I have uneven eyes, one with 1 lid and the other with 2. How can I apply make up to make them even?
haha, ive had this problem before. im asian, and was born one-lidded. but all my life id get the double once in a while, for a day or two. sometimes with both eyes, sometimes just one eye.

what i found is by my experience is best keep it simple. the darker the shadown the more noticeable the difference. use a light ivory/pink ish shadow just to even lid. then u can use a light brown to contour, around the corner and eyebrow bone. u can use a grey/brown liner and just line the double eye very thinly, and the one-lid thicker (or apply a little gray shadow on top) so u can see a little color at the top of ur lid. ofcourse, when you look down u can kinda see a one eye has more liner than the other, but with ur eye open..itll look very similar!I have uneven eyes, one with 1 lid and the other with 2. How can I apply make up to make them even?
uuuhhhh, have you tried maybe putting one darker and the other lighter shades??

    :\
    With great difficulty
I would suggust that you try to apply a ';mildtone'; or ';accents'; to both eye lids then take another ';accents'; or ';highlighter'; and apply it to just outside your eyelid on the bottom and go up to about 3/4 the way from you eye on the brow line forming a V shape. You can get other tips at www.marykay.com/kfrench2006 also you can request samples of their colors to try
Not sure if I quite understand but I'll take a stab at it anyways:) Eyeshadow is all about creating illusions right? So we are going to create the illusion that your smaller eye matches your other eye. How? By putting the darkest color (the crease color) above the eyes natural crease. Not on the crease but above it, actually right on the brow bone probably. That will create depth and hopefully match them up. And then if the distance between your eyes is bigger than your eyes themselves your going to want to take your eyeliner and eyeshadow all they in (towards the nose). That will create the illusion that they are closer together than they actually are. For more FREE tips you can got to my website www.marykay.com/josiebee and look for tips on applying eye makeup for different shaped eyes! Have fun!

I want to start wearing make-up to work, any tips on applying quick that looks good?

I am a darker skinned African American woman. I am only 21, so I like to look as natural as possible. I have dark circles under my eyes, so I wear a full coverage concealer to cover up my dark circles. I wear tented lip gloss that compliments my skin tone (usually a gold, pink, lavender, nude, or a simple clear). Occasionally I might wear an eyeshadow that compliments my lip gloss. I wear the individual false lashes (they are so convenient because they are full and long, and you don't have to worry about your mascara running).

But that's about it: Concealer, Lip gloss, Lashes, and MAYBE eyeshadow (but just on the lids)

Go to a department or makeup store, and sit down with the makeup artist. ITS FREE! She'll try out some products on you, and you can pick some that you might wanna try.

You just need to find what works for you, but remember: The key to wearing makeup is to look like you're not wearing any at all!

Choose lighter more natural colors for the day time, like when you're at work or having lunch out. And bolder, darker colors for the night time, like when you're going out to dinner or to a club.

Good Luck Girl!I want to start wearing make-up to work, any tips on applying quick that looks good?
I use Bare Minerals because they're really easy to put on and they're quick. I normally use cover up, mineral vail (it just sets everything into place and makes it look polished), eye shadow, and some powder eyeliner. In that order. Then I follow that up with a little bit of lip stick, lip gloss, chapstick, or whatever lip thing I'm feeling like that day. It Takes me 4-7 minutes. Sometimes when I have extra time I'll apply just the slightest application of mascara.I want to start wearing make-up to work, any tips on applying quick that looks good?
By make up, what do you mean? Just foundation, or eyeshadow, blush, mascara? There are several tips depending on the type of make-up you want to try.
i use to buy the best make up out, but know with having kids i don't have mush time.

so i use thin lizzy its 6 in 1 powder, eyeliner, lip gloss. and its great and looks natural.

    and easy to put on.
Start subtle, Do mascara, eyeliner and a light blush. If your feeling sassy throw on a little lipgloss too. It shouldn't take more than 5 mins
I want to start wearing make-up to work, any tips on applying quick that looks good
swipe on some mascara and give your cheeks a little color.

it will make you look professional but not TOO professional :)
    Yes.
try some blush or eyelash curler

How do you apply make-up?Without make it look heavy also?

Well, I put a light shade of pink which was kinda shimmery and brown also. One side pink the other brown and on the very top of the eyebrow another color(the color that every one is suppose to, like the topping). well it looked alright, but then after a second I thought it looked like I had a black eye so did I do it wrong? and I am fifteen and I don't want' it to heavy. How do you apply make-up?Without make it look heavy also?
Put the dark color on first, only on your lid by your eyelashes, then put a shimmery light color on top, and top it off with mascara! How do you apply make-up?Without make it look heavy also?
you should try the smearing technique for eyeliner so that way you don't have to apply so much eyeliner. All you need to do is take a Q- tip and apply your eyeliner halfway across the bottom lid until it's all the way across. You can always add more if you feel the need for a little bit heavier lining. Also, about the eyeshadow, you should always apply the lighter/less colorful color on top. For example if you chose blue and brown (light), that you would pult the brown on first almost to your eyebrows and the blue on top of it at the bottom so that you can still see it though. Well hope that this tidbit of information helped you with your makeup application.
use light colors and not lay it on soo thick
put the darker color in the crease of you eye is you want your eyes to stand out

put the shimmery color on your eyelid %26amp;%26amp;%26amp; under your browbone
Okay well here is what you need to do find an eye shadow brush. Then dip it into the eye shadow or swirl it round depending on the eye pallet. Then gently tap the brush on your sink this will get all of the excess makeup out then apply eye shadow. DO this 2 times for each eye. This will cause the eyeshadow to become less thick. Try your bst not to touch your eye thorughout the day. Hope this Helps

What's the best way to stay cool when trying to apply make up when it's REALLY hot?

have trouble with my foudation when my face is hot and i can't seem to cool myself down. it is very hot in england and we aren't used to it being this warm thanks. foundation seems to disappear after an hour or so.What's the best way to stay cool when trying to apply make up when it's REALLY hot?
It is freakishly hot in the UK this week! I use something called an Aqua sponge when putting on my foundation. I know Boots sell them. It's just a small round make-up sponge

I run it under cold water until it is all soft and the squeeze off the excess so it is just a bit damp. Then apply a little foundation to the sponge and sweep it over my face. The cold water keeps my skin fresh and the sponge leaves no streaks at all. Hope I helped! What's the best way to stay cool when trying to apply make up when it's REALLY hot?
Try sitting with a fan nearby and open all the windows!! Sounds a bit obvious doesn't it.
At the mo' im going without makeup....well mearly, and believe me, its unheard of!.....

Best thing for your face/complexion is a fake tan, as it seems to smooth flaws out.

Then you just need a tiny bit of bronzer on your cheeks, a slick of waterproof mascara and a smudge of lipbalm.

If your going somewhere you can wear your shades all day then go without mascara too
    hmmm
Be really hot and don't wear any meakeup and then you will be totally cool.
Store your foundation in the fridge for a few minutes before applying
you really should not wear makup in the summer when its REALLY hot u dumb blonde cn tell ur ENGLISH U FREEK! BUT if you do then powder not foudation
Try using that Magicool on your face first (you can buy it in Boots, Superdrug and other supermarkets). Then after you apply your foundation, carry around a pressed powder with you, with a powder puff so you can blot off the excess oil.

I get it too. I went out last night with a really shiny nose!
Hi! I live in Spain and wear make-up, even when it's (very) warm. The trick is not only to change to other make-up when it's hot, but also to other day and night cream: you might have to switch to something ';lighter';, which does hydrate your skin but gets totally absorbed. When it gets hot, I change my foundation as well: oil free and ';lighter';. At the moment I am using Astor's anti-shine foundation for normal to oily skin, which is oil-free, gives a matt finish, doesn't dry my skin and lasts the whole day. It doesn't clog up the pores or give me acne either! I like my make-up to look natural, especially in the summer, so instead of blusher I use a little bronzing powder (like Maybelline's Terra Sun) on my cheeks, and a tiny bit on my forhead, nose and chin: this way I look like I have a bit of a sun tan and fresh and natural. If you want to use eyeshadow, try Maybelline's Cool Effect cooling cream eyecolor: it takes some practice to get it on properly (I use a cotton tip), but it doesn't run when it gets hot and looks great.

One more thing: if you normally style your hair with a dryer just before you put on your make-up, you get quite hot which makes it harder to get your make-up right. First I put on my moisterizer, then I do my hair. After this I take take a break and do something else, then when I have cooled down and the moisterizer has been totally absorbed, I put on my make-up. It really works!!
In the summer, I don't use any liquid any kind of makeup. It will only run away as you sweat. Try a powder, either just a pressed powder with some color or a powder foundation (like Bare Minerals, I love it because it really does not move, but there are also other powder mineral foundations that might be good). The powder will help absorb your sweat and keep you from getting all shiny instead of running away as you sweat. Of course, if you sweat enough even this won't work, but it is way better than liquid foundation in the heat.
i know what u mean about the make up not staying on in the hotness,..what i would do is try applying foundation in a shady area...an area where u can see ur face but in a shady area...lights and such generate heat and spread it across the room...thats my best advice..i do it and it works for me!=) good luck darlin'
It's damn hot in the UK

apply your makeup in a cool room

I try get away without wearing any when I can cos my mascara smudges when I wear my sunglasses
i had the exact same problem this morning!! just take some powder with you so you can dab it on whenever you feel it coming of...

what i do now..is i sit in front of the fan when i do my makeup so my face stays cool while im doing it.. and then in a couple of hours it does seem live youve melted lol!!

    damn english weather!
How about instead of foundation wearing tinted moisturiser instead? If you dont have any, my best mate showed me a trick - take a blob of moisturiser and add a bit of your foundation into it - sorted! Def dont think you need foundation in this weather, your skin will get clogged and sore if youre too hot.
Can't help ya there baby. Maybe a cool shower will help the both of us.
Use moisturiser and a little face powder instead.
    u don't need make-up to be x-clusive
Put a towel over your face .
Okay...you need to use a ';primer'; under your foundation. A primer is a silicone based product that allows your makeup to adhere and float, if you will, over your face. If you have large pores, any signs of wrinkles this is a miracle product. Laura Geller makes this product as well as Smashbox. Go on line to find them. If you are a teen or in your 20's I would suggest a dual coverage powder such as Mary Kay offers. You can wear it as a powder or wet a sponge and use it for a little more coverage. This is the product I use everyday. You might also try blotting papers for oily skin. Apply makeup in front of a fan and after you have dried your hair. Good luck! www.laurageller.com www.smashbox.com
use a bigger brush and some loose powder...itll fan u a little while u apply it when u feel its fading hope i helped xox0xo
    Hi Angel,

What you need is a water based foundation, rather than an oil based one.

As the temp goes up the oil in the foundations melts.

Water based is the way to go!

You can find these products in Boots, Superdrug.

    Hope to of helped!

    Debs
try a great TINTED moisturizer and a pressed powder!!

as for eye make up try a cream eyeshadow and no liner... water proof mascra, liquid cheek stain and lip stain..and you are perfect!

xxHow would you apply make up on me?
First, stop wearing your hair in pig tails. I like them, but they associate you with a younger aged person. Next, while I dig the dress, it also makes you look younger. As for make up, clean your brows up and define them. If that's not enough, eyeliner, heavier on the top and mascara. Maybe a light shadow, also. You could go heavier with the makeup if you were going for an 80's look. Good Luck!
Your avatar makes you look like a white girl, yet you are asian.

Fix your eyebrows, light eye shadow, and eyeliner.

Don't ever use dark colored lipsticks since your skin is light. It doesn't look good.

If you are 16, you are really going through puberty slowly because you look 13-14 tops.
maybe pluck yur eyebrows to make them a bit thinner. and some light brownish eyeshadow. some black or dark brown liner on the bottom of yur eye on the inside not outer part of yur line...mascara and a light tan tinted lip gloss. and perhaps some light peach blush just a little

Yes wear makeup. Also a tip... go w/ neutral colors but remember that makeup doesn't show the true intensity in pictures so go a smudge darker than normal.

Do you apply make up in public?

When you're out do you reapply your make up in the toliet, or get a mirror out on trains etc. Sounds strange but for some reason I feel really uncomfortable doing it, unless there's no one around.Do you apply make up in public?
Same here! I don't do it unless I'm alone b/c i also feel wierd! If I'm in public ill go to the b-room and do it! Thanks god im not the only other person who does that! haha!Do you apply make up in public?
    I will retouch mine
    No, I'm not that vain.
I usually try to make it to a Ladies Room.
    no to shy
well i really prefer being alone

but if i might then in the ladies room yes.

    in public never!

    like buses trains nope.

    it's nobody's business.
Lip balm or gloss ONLY!! I NEVER reapply makeup in public. I think it's gross to do that. Even if you're wearing outrageous colorful eyeshadow, you're supposed to be presenting yourself proudly like it's natural. It's not at all attractive to see a girl sitting at a table with friends putting mascara on. Ew.
Yes I do!! But only lipstick or my compact poudre... Eyeshadows, blush etc only in the ladies' room!
yes, sometimes just my lip gloss and lip stick and tone my foundation up really.
Hmm... I'd just do my lipgloss, not the whole eyeshadow, coverup thing. Thats for the ladies room.
I only touch-up my makeup in the bathroom. I think it's tacky to apply makeup in public, but I've seen girls apply mascara and tweeze their eyebrows in class at school! However, I think that products like lipgloss and lip balm are perfectly okay to use in public.
It is tacky unless it is just lip gloss or something like that. Makeup application should be in the lady's room only! You look vain and obsessed if you are doing it elsewhere.
I apply my makeup at home, because I feel self-concious to do it elsewhere, besides in the bathroom.
Well, most of the time I will go to the ladies room but I do reapply my lipgloss in public...I think most women do that. Touching up your entire face in public is a little tacky.
never! but then again I'm a guy so.....
i do it wherever i feel comfortable putting on my makeup.
*nods* yea but only things like lipgloss and powder...anything else just makes me feel weird.
Sure...I put makeup in public. Just dont do it if theres Buff boys about. Look in the mirror sure. U can put makeup on. I dont think anyone pays attention anyways! XD
i retouch mine in a bathroom but really dont like it when theres other people around even if its just one person i'd prefer to do it when no ones watching. but i'll only do touch ups in the bathroom or in my carwhen im parked. but never out just in public.
Personally, I think primping is best saved for the ';powder room';. Now, if you're in a bind...like on your way to an interview and have no time to do it elsewhere...I think checking your look in the mirror while on the train is okay. But don't go pulling out your make-up bag to do a major overhaul. Adding a dab of powder and a touch-up of lipstick should be acceptable. I would definitely avoid it in a restaurant, office setting or other such places.

I want to learn how to apply make-up like the experts...any tips?

Tips you used articles you found, books. Have a summer of free time and this is what I plan to do with part of it.I want to learn how to apply make-up like the experts...any tips?
My favorite book is by the make up artist Paul Starr he came out with a book about 2 or 3 years ago. It is the best not only does it tell you how to apply but it tells you what to do for different face shapes eye shapes and skin types. And much much more and from there it is all practice. But if you want to get into it I would buy it. You can get it at most book stores or on line. It is called Paul Starr on Beauty I believe.I want to learn how to apply make-up like the experts...any tips?
To be honest anyone can be a makeup expert its really all in the brushes the professionals use-- you need a set of professional makeup brushes a typical set is usually 28--the biggest craze right now is mineral makeup because its healthy for your skin--SheerCover is the best! Before applying makeup its important to get a skin toner to apply to your face to even out the skin (Neutrogena Skin Tone is great!) I like M.A.C. makeup you can order a cd from ebay and they pretty much show you how to use makeup--- one important rule it should like like one isnt wearing makeup in other words you dont want it caked on-- good luck!! hope this helps!
    PRACTICE!

when using eye shadow and blush .. BLEND (circular motions) to look smooth.
well honestly.. its all in the brushes u use.. and practice makes perfect
    photoshop
Buy bare minerals foundation, this is the best.
to be honest the application of make up is trial and error. after doing it long enough you will find your nitch. what looks best on you, what compliments your skin tone, so on and so forth. but just look at celebrities (that you physically favor) and see how there make up is applied. thats how i learned to do it. I watch alot of the ';WHAT NOT TO WEAR'; and ';HOW DO I LOOK'; shows on TLC and they give alot of tips concerning face shape and skin color. watching is good but doing it yourself is the best. you will see what compliments you and go with it. best of luck *Redd
well alot of the time in the mall if you go to the mac place they will give you alot of tips and help you as best as they can so start there also if you dont have a mac store in your local mall try nords or macys maybe ...

How should i apply make up?

How should i apply blusher if i have a round face.. which part should i start off.. %26amp; i'm dark brown colour, what colour blusher suits me?How should i apply make up?
Ok well the point of make up is to not really look like you're wearing any to begin with so pick a blush that just brings out the natural color in your cheeks or a half a shade darker.

Since you have a round face you should smile and the part of your cheek that comes closer to your eyes. That's called the apple and begin there with sweeping motions to your temples for the best look.

After that take a clean brush and sweep off the extra.

Remember, Foundation, Concealer, Blush, Eyes, Lips.

I've been doing make up since I was eight and my friends have me do theirs all the time.

The trick is to get the shades as close to your natural color as possible and play up your eyes.
  • this works
  • How to apply make up so that it looks pretty natural?

What to use etcHow to apply make up so that it looks pretty natural?
If you have uneven skin then use a foundation that is your skin tone (bring someone along with you or a mirror, make sure the store has a good return policy). Make sure it's hypoallergenic and oil-free. Liquid has the most natural coverage, and Covergirl is known for their products. Rub on clean face in fast, circular motions, blending at edges. Wear powder on top to soak up oil

Now pick your best facial feature. If it's eyes, buy an eyelash curler and mascara. Brown if you have lighter hair, black for darker hair. I have Maybelline Vibrating mascara ($13) and LOVE it. Make sure it's waterproof.

Some women like eyshadow. If so for you, pick a color (natural-looking; pastel or flesh-toned) that makes your eyes stand out. Do one light layer from lash to brow, another layer on lid only, and a touch more in the crease. Gold/silver looks great on all eyes colors.

Eyeliner is great. Brown is best for a natural look. Any eyeliner works for me so long as it's waterproof. Dot it along your lower lashes and rub it a bit to blend, then draw a thin line from the middle to the end of your upper lashes to make your eyes look bigger naturally.

If your feature is lips, get a lipstain (Covergirl has a great one in a pen form). First line your lips with it, then fill them in with the broad side. Add a balm on top to make them soft, a clear gloss if you want.

If your feature is cheeks, you need two types of blush. A cream blush (Maybelline mousse blush is great) and a powder (I like Lorielle). Take a small dot, smile, and apply to middle of cheek. Blend upward toward temple. Dust lightly over it with the powder blush.

Thats pretty much it =) sorry it was so long. How to apply make up so that it looks pretty natural?
try to find your color in foundation and apply on all your face.if your want to wear a eyeshadow try a light brown or a sandy color.Blush doesnt have to be hot pink just a pink color and apply on cheek bones by saying ohhhhh....and if your planing to wear mascara make sure it doesnt look clumpy.then you can put eyeliner on but not inside your eye (because the liquid inside your eye makes it ruin down) put it over your lash line.

with a little lip gloss and your done...
use shimmery neutral eyeshadow-Physician's Formula ';baked collection'; in baked sugar.

use a brown liquid eyeliner on your upper eye lid, and a brown eyeliner pencil on your inner bottom lid.

    mineral powder foudation

and a coat or two of black mascara. finish with some lip gloss or shine and viola!

    a soft brown eyeliner

    lipgloss

How can i apply make-up to make it seem like its not too much and it looks more nautral??

?How can i apply make-up to make it seem like its not too much and it looks more nautral??
Skip heavy foundation and dark colors. If you need a base, use a tinted moisturizer.

For your eyes, I would either skip the eyshadow altogether or use a very light and neutral color. Use clear mascara and a thin line of light or neutral eyeliner (bottom lid only) such as off black or brown.

For your cheeks, use a bronzer for a light tan or a pink blush to give you a natural flushed look.

For your lips, a tinted or clear lip gloss is nice. You can also pick a lipstick slightly darker than your lips, but use matte, not shiny. How can i apply make-up to make it seem like its not too much and it looks more nautral??
Colored lipsticks always make you look like youre wearing a lot of make up whether you are or not. try natural colors..bronzers..and lip glosses
well first of all DON'T wear any foundation! it will just make your face look ugly, wrinkley, and sooner or later you'll have holes in your skin! yuck!! okay, apply a little bit (JUST A LITTLE BIT) of eyeliner to your eyes and then put some really light pink eyeshadow on! (put pink eyeshadow only if you're light skinned! if you are dark skinned, put on some really light brown) Next, apply some lip gloss and it will look really pretty! (don't put mascara on cause then it will look like too much!)i hope my advice was helpfull! GOOD LUCK! P.S if u curl ur eyelashes that will look pretty too!
I think you should just try a little bit of collored liner on ur eyes but not a whole lot. draw on ur index w the liner and rub a little just above ur eyelashes. for blush fair skin-peony, olive skin-rose, dark skin-a red applied very lightly. lips fair-a light pink or muted rose, olive-deep plum or rose, dark-a light wine color. hope i gave u the answers u needed! by the way if u look like ur pic, u have olive skin.
look at some pictures of comanches and compare that to the mess on your face..............no charge
stay natural by avoiding liquid foundation and heavy coverage powder.

try bare escentuals...go a their store and have one of their professionals help you with it.
    dont put 2 much on
All you need is a tinted mouisturizer, sheer bronzed blush, and some lip gloss. For your eyes, just curl your eyelashes and apply one coat of mascara. If you like eyeshadow, just find a warm summer color that don't look like your overdoing it.

For tinted mousiturizer Try ~%26gt; ';oil-free Mouisture w/sheer tint spf 15'; from Neutrogena
mascara natural blush and pink lip gloss
honestly by not wearing any foundation. Woman should only wear foundation and cover up for when they are getting pictures taken, or if you are going to a dance/wedding. the make-up companies know that this stuff is bad for your skin and clogs your poors, but once you start breaking out most people just keep applying to cover it up, and thus starts an ugly cycle of bad skin. So if you want to look natural, a little bit of light blush on the cheek bones, some mascara, little bite of eye shadow close to your skin tone, and lip gloss should give you a nice natural look.
you should apply it with a brush,it helps a lot not to look fake

A V O N !!!!! Talk to your nearest representative. You can find one on the Internet at 'youravon.com'. She can help you choose what's right for your skin, color, condition and skin tone. My suggestion for a natural look would be to use a moisturizer with a tint. A loose powder to finish. A touch of blush and a neutral powder eyeshadow. A thin line of eyeliner, if you like, and finish with some mascara.Need some help with applying simple make-up and the right products to buy.?
The Body Shop, go in store and ask the consultant, they are very helpful, I use a foundation that is powder based called All in one face base and this doesn't feel like you have any foundation on it's so light. Try an eyeshadow colour as your eye liner and and coloured lip gloss.

Well i'll try and help but really i need to know your eye color but try

the liner close to the lash on top online with one/two coats of mascara blush on the apples and bridge of the nose for a skin kissed look and brown eyeshadow with pink shimmer ontop and well belended!
I like adding a little moisturizer to liquid foundation in my palm before applying it to make it appear more natural.
go to the make up counters to get a make-over
Here's what I use. I've experimented with many different products over the years, and I'm transsexual, so I need good coverage and contouring. Don't use liquid eyeliner if that's what you mean. Don't think that you need to 'add more' to get the look you want... more likely you need less. Don't try to save money... you get what you pay for, and if you shop cheap, you'll look cheap.

Max Factor ';Lasting performance'; foundation: very good stuff... dries cleanly and doesn't sweat off.

Ben Nye loose powder: I use this to set the foundation, and get a little better coverage. Absolutely necessary in high humidity.

Cover girl powder compact: I rarely need this, so I skimped and got the cheap stuff.

Practically everything else I use is Lancome... their eye shadows are very good, blushes are good as well. Lancome makes some very good mascara (Definicils being the best by far), but I have recently switched to Blinc ';Kiss Me'; mascara, and so far I really like it.

For eyeliner, I use Lancome or Ben Nye eyeshadow, in a coffee-brown color... if you're dark-skinned, go for the black.

Lancome makes some very good lipcolors as well, and I love the ';Juicy Tubes'; lip gloss. It is kind of sticky though, so sometimes I just go with chapstick :)

Check out my photos on Yahoo photos or www.myspace.com/jasmine1971 , and if you like what you see, take my advice. If you don't, ignore me :)

Keep in mind, I was a man, and those photos are from before I got my beard removed, so I'm covering up a lot. You may not need that effect and may not want to use foundation at all.
well from my experience don't do anything derastic because you don't want to shock people you want to feel beautiful. I would put on mascara i use great lash because it is cheap and works wonders and i would put on a shimmery eyeshadow from lash to crease (you want a color that is close to your skin color just glittery) and then do a slightly darker shade from your crease to just above the crease this will add a dramatic flare without it looking to much1

i hope all works out well
cream to powder foundation is best also or blush just use a shade or two darker than foundation maybe just a little pinker it will look natural and not made up do not use frost or pearl it looks fake

This website has good instructional videos: http://www.videojug.com/tag/make-up/

Cosmeticscop.com %26amp; Carmindy.com offer some good tips too.

Both Carmindy %26amp; Bobby Brown have written good books about makeup. You can find them at your local library or find more information about them on Amazon.com.How to learn to apply make up?
if you want to learn to apply makeup, try watching that show ';What Not To Wear';....they have a makeup segment and i myself got some pretty good ideas from their stylist!

it all depends on the look you want. for example, don't wear the same type of makeup for school as you would for a party. for a casual look, use eyeshadows that go well with your skin tone, from light to darker browns; use a clear mascara to accent your eyelashes without overdoing it; use little dabs of foundation to cover up problem areas instead of your whole face, and blend it in smoothly with your skin; finish off with a light blush.

for a party/date look, try the smokey eyed eyeshadows! they go good with green/brown eyes! smokey colors include a blackish-teal blue, white, a very light sky blue, and the like.

for way better advice than mine (and i know this sounds tacky), try picking up a Seventeen magazine and skipping to the ';beauty'; section; believe it or not they've got some good tips for everyone in there. hope this helped!
DAY: Have a natural look find a shade that is a little lighter than yourskin ton like a peach colour and use a nude color lip liner for lip stick

Night: find a good color that looks good on you use that color for your eye lids and then go simple with the lips use lip balm or lip gloss.
just keep praticing :) i was going to suggest youtube videos but since you asked not to i can't really think of anything else to say. i got all my makeup tips from them. sorry.
I'm by no means a pro, but I started using sheer cover. it comes with tools and a dvd that tells you what to do, I am very happy with it
I know you said you already tried youtube but ahanhbarbie34 has really good tutorials

  • Is it better to apply make-up with your fingertips or a sponge?

    i use a sponge.

cuz its hard to put on with my fingers.

and like the other person said ur fingers are oily.Is it better to apply make-up with your fingertips or a sponge?
I love this video from Enkoremakeup,

he shows the results on a palette how a foundation looks like when it applies with

    brush

    fingers

    sponge

    airbrush

i prefer brush.. and then blend with damp sponge.

you dont' get bacteria in your sponge if you use new sponge everytime... like the wedge cosmetic.

and you wash your brush after every use of foundation.

just practice hygiene and it will be alright. Is it better to apply make-up with your fingertips or a sponge?
    Sponge.

Your hands and fingers (and skin in general) are oily, even if you wash them alot.

The oil from your hands can cause the skin on your face to become more oily, causing pimples.

If the sponge you are using is sterile it should be fine.

Wash the makeup off each time before using the sponge over and over.

    Hope I helped(:
i do my makeup with fingertips, because like the first answerer said, sponges hold bacteria. plus, sponges would mostly absorb the makeup, so you barely get any on your face.
wash your hands and use your finger tips, sponges hold bacteria and you can break out, i heard this from a professional btw(:

I applied make-up on top of my eye infection and now my eye has shrunk?

Help, The reason why I applied make-up to my eye infection is because of my dance, college show and thats how I got the eye infection in the first place but I used my own eyeshadow this time and after my hour performance, my eye had shrunk and it is obvious. I rubed warm salt water on my eye and the swelling has sort of gone down but my vision is blurry and my eye is still small, what shall I do? help because I also have to go out looking like this to go to college.I applied make-up on top of my eye infection and now my eye has shrunk?
Maybe you can bejewel an eye patch. It would be hip and trendy. Your college mascot wouldn't happen to be the pirates would it? That would be perfect.I applied make-up on top of my eye infection and now my eye has shrunk?
    I agree with foxygurl

This situation and your eyesight is too damn important to postpone treatment.

PLEASE, see the doctor NOW or you might regret it.
Go to your ophthalmologist now. The infection might get worse, so best seek advice from the ophthalmologist ASAP.

How should i apply make up for a party i have indian skin ?

If all others who attend the party , the host, the guest etc are also indians why worry at all.

If the rest are black skinned perhaps you look lighter in shade than them and so no need for makeup!!!

If the rest are fair skinned( I mean white skinned which you seem to think as fair skinned perhaps!!!!)you can decide about which part of your body , hands legs and neck and back , need to be COLOURED(make up). Please remember many white skinned people are mad about tanning their skin!!!!

Simple solution DONT TRY TO OVERDO THINGS

EVERYBODY KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE, WHO YOU ARE,HOW YOU LOOK ON NORMAL DAYS AT THE SHOPPING MALL ETC.

If there is even a light rain while the party is on all your make up would be WASHED OUT!!!!!

Do you wear mascara? If so, you should put that on last. So...Well, you shouldn't put on TWO blushes. That's strange. I hate caked on makeup (too much) but if it were me I'd go, moisturizer, concealer, powder, blush. :)

    How to apply make-up?

Can you give me some basic guide lines? I have fair skin and almond eyes and an oval shaped head with sholder length hair. Also whats the best way to clean your brushes? How to apply make-up?
Depending on your age and skin type, I would suggest a mineral powder over foundation. Something like Physicians Formula Mineral Powder in light. That is what my daughter uses and looks and feels wonderful.

As far as your eyes go, go with a liner color that compliments your eye color. Green eyes look great with black, brown, green, and purple to lavender eyeliner.

Brown looks good with almost any color.

Blue looks good with most colors except green.

I would start by lining the bottom lid only 1/2 way across, then line the whole upper lid. But you will need to play with this to get what looks best with your eyes.

If you go with dark eye colors then use a lighter lip shade, or light eye colors you can use a darker shade of lipstick. The key is to play up one feature at a time so as not to overwhelm your face.

Just wash your brushes with regular soap and water and let them air dry. This needs to be done once a month or so, because bacteria builds up on them fast.

If you want to e-mail me I can give you some more help geared more specifically for your characteristics.

    Good luck.How to apply make-up?
    .
I want to first start off by telling you that you have BEAUTIFUL features(You just have to learn how to work it)LOL.Well it depends on a couple of things when you're dealing with make-up...What look you're going for (Dramatic,Natural,Etc.),And your skin type(Oily,Dry,Normal,Etc.) www.Covergirl.com actually has the best site in my opinion to get Tips %26amp; Tricks from! You can even get an online consultation. You can also check out you local Department stores make-up counters like M.A.C.,Lancome,Clinique for a hands on experiance...It's free( I would recommend you purchase atleast one item though so you wouldn't look tacky), And you can get free samples.Hopefully I was able to give you good enough tips for you to unleash your inner DIVA!!! Good Luck ;) Oh Yeah I almost forgot...I clean my brushes with a gentle shampoo, such as baby shampoo from like johnson %26amp; johnson...Or you can go the expensive route and get the cleaner that the Pros use.
sounds like you have really nice features. You could add some high and low-lights to your hair to make it stand out a bit more, or curl it permanantly or using a curling iron. To make your eyes stand out (after all, your eyes are meant to be ur best feature), use a bit of brown on the outer rim of ur eyes and light colors in the inside corners.

Choose to play up one feature of ur face at a time. If you want to play up your eyes, wear tinted or clear gloss on ur lips, if you want to do the opposite, wear little or no make up on your eyes. It's also nice to have some foundation on (I reccomend Maybelline dream matte mousse with spf, it's fabulous) it makes your skin look smoother, and if you use mouse, it also makes your skin loose the scary shine.

Can i apply make up after I use Youthful essence Microdermabrasion??

Hi, i jsut bought the susan lucci microdermabrasion. I just used it and i was wondering if i can apply make up after i use it? and does anyone know the difference between the Neutrogena Mircrodermabrasion cream and Susan Lucci's youthful essene cream??Can i apply make up after I use Youthful essence Microdermabrasion??
    Hello,

There are doctors who say that liquid foundation and solid powder shouldn't be applied on the face at least 24 hours after a microdermabrasion treatment. You can use some mascara and lip gloss, but try not to apply full face make up on treated areas. The best thing to do is use the crystal cream in the evening and wait until the next day to apply make-up.

Now about the difference between the two creams: the one from Neutrogena contains aluminum oxide crystals, while the Lucci has mineral micro crystals, some added antioxidants and vitamins. They have the same operating principle. I couldn't say which one is better for you -- it all depends on your skin.

    Hope this helps,

You go girl! The sooner you start the better you will be at applying make up.. i don't think there is anything wrong with you wearing make-up at 13 just try to be ';age appropriate';.. nothing super dark and heavy. But soon enough you'll be a pro and all your friends will be asking you to do theirs. My favorite person to watch on youtube is this girl Alba.. type in Alba Mayo in the search field and she has a good amount of tutorials.

I have pale skin and green and yellow eyes. :)How should I apply my make up my photo session on Thu? Any tips?
lilac eyeshadow, very light, and apply correct blush on your face. try for the pink tones, but make sure you accentuate the parts that need to (for example cheekbones) but keeping them light, and darken the parts you need to minimize (for example tip of the nose, chin..) and the effect on the picture will be more subtle so don't be afraid of overdoing it. Don't forget good mascara and great pink lip gloss. How should I apply my make up my photo session on Thu? Any tips?
um... wut color is ur hair?

    idk

    :P
do yourself a favor and dont cake too much cover up, powerder or anything around the eyes. not even eyeshadow. you can use eyeliner to make the eyes more sensual but dont do anything with any powders thats gonna look too caked on because it has a habit of making the eyes look more tired
Light makes the colors fade, so you need deeper color lips. Otherwise, I need more info.
I know it sounds silly, but this article really helped me haha

A couple things that I do when I'm taking extra time on my makeup-

    Put on some upbeat music

    Use concealer AND foundation

As a ';primer'; dab a little bit of face lotion onto my eye lids THEN put on my mascara...gives it a more vivid color.

Also be careful with lipsticks and photos...stick to lip gloss of even chapstick. Think natural, you don't want to over do it.

How to apply make-up, I have never done it before!! Please help!?

Hey everyone, I have a job interview coming up soon and i ahve never put on make-up. i am a african american female and have no clue what to do can anyone help?

how do i find the right color foundation? How to apply make-up, I have never done it before!! Please help!?
Alright, I will list everything in the order that you should apply them: foundation, concealer, blush, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, lip gloss. Ok, let's start with foundation. When finding the right foundation you want something that is exactly the same color as your skin. Test it on your jawline; when you blend you shouldn't be able to tell that you are wearing anything. Conceal the rest of the blemishes ( if you have any ).How to apply make-up, I have never done it before!! Please help!?
u use foundation that is the same color as ur skin

i take fashion print classes at a skool so i kno

first, u use eaither foundation or concelear to hide any pimple or zits

then, u apply blush onto the apples of ur cheeks

after, u put on some lipgloss

    finally, u add the mascara

if u want, u even put on eyeshadow

make sure u dont wear too much makeup or they wont hire u
Use black eyeliner on your top eyelids right on your lash line. Use some black mascara. You can find the right foundation by going to any stall in a department store that sells makeup and they will help you find the right color. Or, if you want cheaper, just do your best to match the shade of your skin. Foundation is always supposed to be one shade darker than your skin color, so when you find the one that matches, go with the next darker one.
LESS IS MORE! although you might think you need makeup to heighten your appearance, dont conceal your inner beauty and project a false person. since your color is darker than others with fair skin, you would have to go to the darker gradiants. look up Tara Banks or Halle Berry. at the checks, they go with a lighter tone and they dont over do eyeshadow. i like the burgandy/dark red for african american girls. something of a darker shade. cheeck wise, just get a light blush and you're set. they'll be interviewing your credentials so dont worry too much. just dress conservatively and you're set
If you have good skin, you don't really need a lot of foundation. I would suggest a tinted moisturizer in your shade (ask the lady at the makeup counter to help you) you apply it lightly just like regular moisturize. A good foundation should match the skin of your face and neck, I always smear some onto my jaw line when testing cause that is where the makeup has to blend from your face to your neck.

Since it is your first time best stick to simple and go for the natural look, it's sexier anyways, if you have good skin and nice features too much makeup gets redundant.

Apply tinted moisturizer, apply a light dusting of golden bronze eyeshadow to compliment you brown skin and a just one coat of brown mascara. Then use a red/or brown tinted lip gloss to give your lips some color. If you like dust on some bronzer to you cheek bones.
it depends on your eye color if you have brown eyes use a golden brown creme and get a little mascara remember you don't want to overdue it this is an interview not a date

    p.s

a redish brown lipstick would also go well
Since you have never really experimented with makeup before, I would suggest going to one of the cosmetic counters in the mall where you can receive expert advice for free. Most times, you can even get your make-up done for free if you make a purchase. I usually just buy a new lip gloss or something. Once you know the basics, and your correct shade, it's easy. Hope this helps!!
~choose a color of foundation by rubbing a small part of skin and see if it is the same color.

~to cover up dark spots around the eyes choose a foundation 1 or 2 shades lighter

~try a spray on foundation, cause they don't cake on

~choose an eyeshadow color that compliments you eye color

~but on a peach shade of blush on the apples of your cheeks and sweep up

~do a simple peach gloss cause your eyes should be the main focus

~make sure you also have well groomed eyebrows that are a shade darker then your hair color...it will really make a difference for your eyes
when looking for the right color foundation use the skin right above your thumb and put a dab of foundation there then rub it in to see if it works. When you apply it do not use the triangular sponges they only smear and create a dirty look try using the smaller packs of the white rectangular sponges.
Foundation: Always get one shade lighter than your normal skin tone.

    Powder: Same, or translucent

Eyeshadow: Judging from the skin tone on your av, I would go with neutral/non-bright colors. Like, beige, soft pink, and brown. If you don't know how to apply it, here's how:

Take the beige/whatever color is lightest and lightly dust your entire eyelid (including under the eyebrows). With the second lightest color, take an eyeshadow tool and lightly cover your eyelid. Take a medium dark color, and use the eyeshadow tool thing to make a 'c' shape on your eyelid. (start at the middle of your eyelid towards the eyelashes, and curve it over to the exact same spot, but higher.) With the darkest color, take the duster again and dust around the outside crease of your eye. Take white eyeliner and line the inside corner of your eye, and rub it in so it looks natural. (if necessary, take white eyeshadow instead) Take black eyeliner and line starting from where you started the 'c' of eyeshadow (middle of your eye, closest to your eyelashes) and line it until you get to the outside corner of your eye. Then, line the bottom, but only about 1/3 of the outside, meeting up with the top line. Hopefully, this makes sense. Put a nice coat of mascara, and some pink lipgloss (not to kiddish/light, but a nice translucent medium color, almost dark or red, depending on which you like most). GOOD LUCK AT THE INTERVIEW!!! Also, wear a suit/formal clothes. :)
When you go out to buy a liquid foundation, it is always important to test the color. Swipe a small amount on the base of your jaw (this is the most accurate facial color). Don't be fooled by the way it looks - most foundations look darker while still in the bottle.

Gently pat the foundation into the jawline and then blend it outward with your finger or a sponge. The right foundation will dissolve into your skin and should not stand out too dramatically from your face or your shoulders. It's sometimes difficult to find the ';perfect'; shade, so you might have to ask assistance in blending two shades together. Or check out other brands until you find the right shade for you. Don't buy the bottle immediately, rather, go out for a walk around the store to give the foundation a ';road test';. Check the foundation when you get to a place with natural light. Also try to feel its consistency after half an hour, so you can see how your skin reacts to the product. African-American skin is enhanced by using a combination of medium and dark shaded. The general rule is that darker skin will need darker shades of yellow.
well.. you can go to those stores.. where they have the make up samples and the ladies that can put it on u according to ur skin color and what goes best..

like people at khols do that kind of stuff..

    =]

    hope this helpss!!!
check the links below for beauty tips to:-- Makeup - how to apply.

    http://geebal.blogspot.com/2006/08/free-鈥?/a>
African-americans have the best complexions. If its in the morning, dont apply foundation unless ur skin has marks. Line ur eyes and shape ur brow with a liner. Black if ur eye brows r black otherwise use dark brown. Apply a layer of mascara. Put some goldenbrown, bronze, peach or soft maroon eye shadow. These blend well with ur skin tone and the peach blusher and a gloss of ur choice.
    i dont use makeup sorry.

How to apply make up to Asian eyes so it doesn't appear puffy.?

i watched that video and it should help alot!\=DHow to apply make up to Asian eyes so it doesn't appear puffy.?
I am hawaiian/filipino.....so I know how hard it is to give your eye lids some shape! I use a smudge eye shadow brush, squint my eyes and give myself a slightly dark crease. Than take a lighter shade and slightly go over it...it gives ur eyes definition....good luckHow to apply make up to Asian eyes so it doesn't appear puffy.?
You need to get practicing with different styles and colours. Depending on your eye colour it makes a difference to opening up your eyes. I think asian eyes are beautiful you are very lucky.

I would start with a lil eyeliner from the outer part of underneath the eye to the middle and blend, do not go all the way unless you are usesing a pale colour on your upper lids. Apply a little pale eyeshadow or highlighter just underneath your eyebrows and on the inner corners of your eyes this will really brighten them up. What ever you choose to do blend in your colours so it doesnt look to harsh.

I hope this helps, and have fun with makeup! xx
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QX_NAsrgY鈥?/a>
I am half chinese and half russian, so my eyes aren't completely asian, but I usually apply a line of liquid liner to the top lid and use one color of shadow. I use a pencil on the bottom lid if I am going to line it, but usually I leave that without, and mascara, LOTS of mascara! It seems to mek me look awake and non-puffy. Hope this helps :)

How should I apply my make up to meet my bf's mom?

I normally where black mascara and eye liner and sometime blush and a gloss. However my eye liner tends to bleed and not look good. How should i wear my make up?How should I apply my make up to meet my bf's mom?
very little. i wear brown eyeliner instead of black if i want to tone it down. wear just a little bit of mascara (just one or two swipes!) dont make it heavy! i think it'd be ok to wear lip gloss, but i would skip the blush. too formal. if all else fails, dont wear any! (maybe just mascara) then she'll know you're not trying too hard. good luck! How should I apply my make up to meet my bf's mom?
Keep it simple and natural looking. Don't make it look like you don't care about meeting her. Wear a nice bronzer, neutral colors on your eye. Try a brown eyeliner stick and a brownish black mascara.
    Sparingly. With smudge-proof products.
    dont wear too much

    she'll think your a hoe
not a lot make it clean but bright

definitely use the blush and gloss but go easy on the eye makeup maybe just mascara
Less is more for meeting the parents. Very clean and fresh. I would suggest clump free mascara, bronzer or blush, a tiny concealer under your eyes, and some gloss. I would suggest losing the eyeliner for meeting the mom.
    NATURAL!
Apply your make up sparingly. At most a little lip gloss and mascara, forget the blush and the eyeliner. If you want to glow, just a touch of a bronzer to look a bit sunkissed and natural. Other than that leave the rest off unless you want her to think poorly of you.
If you are meeting your boyfriend's mom, you want to make a good impression. Try to look sophisticated. Wear light eyeshadow, mascara, blush, gloss, and use foundation or concealer to get an even complexion. Avoid the eyeliner, unless you want to use an eyeliner pencil.
Tone the make-up down! Keep the black mascara, and wear black liquid eyeliner. Get rid of the blush and gloss. Instead just wear chapstick.
dont put too much makeup on...you dont want the mom to think that you are ';making'; yourself up too much. Just use what you have adn wear some nude colored eyeshadow to help keep the liner in place
Make it simple and natural looking and dont wear eyeliner if it bleeds u can go a couple of hours without it.
the less sexy u look the more she will like you
Get a good eyeliner like Jordana at Walgreens, its only a dollar, but works great. Use no lipstick or gloss, just lip balm. Use tinted moisturizer for foundation, and waterproof mascara. Aslo use a gold tinted eyeshadow the color of your skin.
Little makeup..natural looking. don't make your eyes so seductive. Try to use waterproff eyeliner if it runs.

Round Face, how do i apply make up to compliement and lenghten my face???

    hello

my face shape is round and sometimes i swear i end make it look rounder.

is there any tips, things and i should and shouldnt be doing/ using make up wise??

hows best to apply my cream blusher and bronzer?

ThanksRound Face, how do i apply make up to compliement and lenghten my face???
Highlight under your eyes and on your chin. You should also use a bronzer to contour your face. This site has a picture of it if you scroll down.

http://www.scribd.com/doc/926539/How-to-鈥?/a>Round Face, how do i apply make up to compliement and lenghten my face???
dont use blusher , use a more shiny skin colour blusher as with pink blusher it will draw attention to the cheeks and will appear rounder. having longish hair is good to as it adds length. dont put to much eyeshadow on ethier, having straight hair will lengthen your face too

    ..x..
you could apply the blush or the bronzer under your cheek bone to make it go a bit downwards - usually this gives you a thinner look on your cheeks.

Simple, powder foundation to even your skin out, apricot or pink toned blush...and I can't really see her eyeshadow, but I would say a simple neutral toned shimmer, with maybe a skinny sleek black eyeliner, on the top lid only. Then, mascara!

Good luck, and have fun!How do apply make up like this?
maybe take a black eyeliner and line your eye with it and smudge it with an angled brush and then put a light powder ( whitish-beige-cream-etc...) on the main part of the lid and then a lighter powder under the eyebrow and tear ducts, hope i could help!
Thats just like black eyeliner on the top and bottom creases by your eyes, black mascara, a bit of blush, and light pinkish lip gloss :]
    gray eyeshadow

    apply like eyliner

    subtle lip gloss over chapstick

light foundation over unevenly pigmented skin
    1. Use a liquid foundation all over face and even out skintone.

    2. Brush some peach coloured blush onto the apples of cheeks.

    3. Sweep a light grey shadow across the lid until crease.

    4. Draw a thin black line on upper eyelid using liquid eyeliner, or black eyeliner pencil.

    5. Apply two to three coats of black mascara.

    6. Apply a clear coat of gloss, or a light pink gloss.
You first put on some black eyeliner on the bottom line of your eye and then put on some black mascara then find a light green eye shimmer shadow and lightly put some on your lid and under your eye and blend it in nicely

What is a good brush to apply mineral make up?

I just brought L'oreal mineral make up and I LOVE it. But, the brush sucks. Does anyone have any recommendations? What is a good brush to apply mineral make up?
A kabuki brush is typically your best bet for applying mineral powder foundations. Any densely bristled natural hair brush is going to be good because distributes pigment a little more evenly and gives better coverage.

Whatever brush you get, just make sure you clean it! Brushes can last a -really- long time if you take care of them. Natural bristle brushes need to be taken care of just like your hair, built up oils from your face and makeup will wear them down and eventually ruin them. If you're applying makeup everyday you need to shampoo your brush at least once a month. Just keep in mind that unlike your hair, your brush doesn't have a scalp to produce oil to condition it, so when choosing a brush shampoo, just make sure that it's sulfate free so that it doesn't strip your brush, and that it's very gentle. Baby shampoos work really well. What is a good brush to apply mineral make up?
typically people are supposed to use a kabouki brush for mineral makeup. The L' Oreal one is shiiity i've used it before. If you buy the maybelline mineral power foundation they give you a little kabouki brush with it which i LOVE!

A stippling brush (187 by MAC is the best example) or a kabuki brush. Many brands and stores sell these, so just look up your favorite makeup brands and see if they sell these.
Yeah, that brush does suck, I use the Bare Minerals Kabuki Brush and I love it : )
