For Eyeshadow:

You Will Need

* White eyeliner

* Wide eyeshadow brush

* Short bristled eyeshadow brush

* Eyeshadow brush for applying base

* Highlighting eyeshadow

* Make-up sponge

* Dark and Light eyeshadow

* Translucent powder

Step 1:

Apply concealer onto eyelid and blend with a sponge to create a matte, neutral base. Don't pull the skin.

Step 2:

With ring finger, lightly dab any concealer out of the eyelid and dust on some loose powder.

Step 3:

Use a brush to apply some light powder and blend in

Step 4:

Apply a highlighting eyeshadow just below the eyebrow to catch the light and define the eyebrows.

Step 5:

Dust highlighting eyeshadow down onto the tops of the cheeks with a blusher brush

Step 6:

Apply a thin line of white eyeliner to the inside lower eye rim to make your eyes look whiter.

For hooded eyes, apply a dark eyeshadow into the socket line

Step 7:

Use a lighter eyeshadow over the lid and blend together

Step 8:

For protruding eyes, apply dark brown or smokey grey eyeshadow over the entire eyelid to draw the eye back into the face.

Step 9:

For close set eyes, apply a light colour to the inner half of the lid, and a dark colour on the outer half, then blend.

Step 10:

For wide set eyes, apply a dark colour to the inner half of the lid, and a light colour on the outer half, then blend.

For Mascara:

Step 1:

You will need

* Eyelash curlers

* Mascara

* Eyelash comb

* Make-up remover pen or a cotton bud

Step 2:

Curl your eyelashes

Curl your upper lashes before applying mascara to open up the eye. Lift your upper eyelid and look down. Position the eyelash curler close to the lash line, and squeeze for 5-6 seconds. Use metal rather than plastic curlers but don't heat them beforehand.

Step 3:

Choosing mascara

Always wear black mascara, regardless of age or skin tone. If your mascara crumbles easily, try using a waterproof mascara which will be longer lasting.

Step 4:

Applying mascara

Apply to the roots of your upper lashes and move upwards in short, jagged motions. A jumbo brush will give a more dramatic effect more quickly, but use a smaller brush if you have shorter lashes. Small brushes are also effective on bottom lashes. If you make a mistake, wipe the area with a cleanser pen or cotton bud. Comb the lashes through from root to tip to remove any lumps so the lashes separate like a petal around the eye.

For Blusher:

Step 1:

You will need

* Pressed powder blusher

* Shimmery powder

* Blusher brush

Step 2:

Choosing blusher

Consider your skin tone and type when choosing blusher. Women with warm skin and dark hair suit pinker shades, while those with light hair and paler skin suit peach shades. Use cheek stains and gels for a dewier look.

Step 3:

Applying blusher

If you are using pressed blush powder, apply a little bit of foundation and powder onto the face beforehand to create a matte complexion. Use light, circular motions and apply the blusher to the apple of the cheekbone, moving up and out with the brush. Apply highlighter to the upper, outer edge of the cheekbones to give sparkle and complement the contour of the cheekbones. Use your fingers to blend in the products to avoid stripes. If you have a rounder face, apply the blusher up the cheekbone rather than focusing on the apple of the cheek.

For Lips:

http://www.videojug.com/film/how-to-appl鈥?/a>

Step 1:

You will need

* 1 Lipstick

* 1 Lip balm

* 1 Lipstick brush

* 1 Lip gloss

Step 2:

Choose a lipstick

As a general rule brunettes and redheads should wear warmer deeper colours; if blonds wear dark colours, it can make their skin look quite pale. Of course experimenting is the best way to find out what works for your face.

The lips and eyes are the most important areas in make up. Keep your eye make up simple if you want to use a very bold lipstick.

If you have made your eyes look very dramatic it's best to keep the lips quite understated, with a neutral tone. Just make the most of your best assets!!

Step 3:

What's the lip line?

The lip line is the edge of the pigmented area of the lips. Some people have a clear lip line, while others don't.

If you don't want to use lip liner, you can still avoid lipstick bleeding by applying a little concealer around the outside of the lip line

Step 4:

Moisturise

Before applying lipstick if you're your lips are dry or hard, soften them by moisturising with some lip balm.

Step 5:

How to apply

Most people put the lipstick directly on to their lips from the stick. This is fine, but it's a lot easier to get the right amount on, and in the right place with a brush.

Make sure the lip brush you use is clean and dry 鈥?and hasn't got lipstick on it already.

Run the brush on the lipstick from side to side so that it has enough lipstick on it.

Step 6:

Apply lipstick

Start around the centre of the lips drawing the brush outwards to the lip line. It's easier this way because you will have less lipstick on your brush when you get to the lip line.

Fill in the whole lips with colour.

Step 7:

Blot the lips

To really make the lipstick last, blot your lips. There are 2 ways of doing this.

You can simply and quickly blot your lips with a tissue. Or to set the lipstick put a 1 ply tissue over the lips and tap powder on your lips through the tissue. Then remove. The lipstick is set by the powder, but some of the colour maybe lost.

Step 8:

Apply a second layer.

Add the colour back - apply a second layer of lipstick over the powder.

You have now got beautifully, evenly applied lipstick that will last for hours.

Don't 鈥榮moosh' your lips together, it will ruin all the careful work you have just put in.

Lipstick on teeth is not a good look, but it's easy to prevent. Just make an 鈥極' with your mouth, put your finger in, close your mouth, and pull out your finger. This will remove excess pigment.

Step 9:

Lip gloss

As a final touch you can add a little lip gloss. Brush it on to the centre of the lips and spread it out a little.

Step 10:

Reapply

No matter how brilliantly you have applied your lipstick, it will fade through the day. You should reapply every few hours.

Less is more. For day to day makeup, use neutral earth tones. If you find your eyeshadow doesn't last all day you can buy primer (or use a dot of foundation) underneath the eyeshadow to get it to stick. Always use a loose powder (can be translucent or tinted) to set your makeup once you are done applying.
You are wearing it perfectly if people believe your beauty is natural, rather than cosmetic.

play with heavy makeup at home in private, but keep it very light in public. And have a lot of fun!
For beginners you really do not want to go overbord. Start with colors that sute you. Maybe skin tones around your eyes. Lip gloss is great, go shoping with your mom or friend, have some one aply it to your face so you can find out your style!

Have fun.

There are some really great guides on this site. It helps explain how to do a few different things like foiling eyeshadow.
if you're just begining- remember that less is more- people are used to seeing you with out it and you want to introduce make up by not haveing the tammy faye eyelashes or the bright red clown lipstick.

go to a cosmetics counter and find out what colors work best with your complexion... stay with the natural colors at first- but make up is about experimentation so once your comfortable try the greens and purples- just don't do that first!

choose colors that are nautral and go with your skin tone- browns, pinks, creams, for eyeshadow. one of the easiest ways to get results without looking like you've been drinking all night is to do this: apply a light eyeshadow- not far from the color of your foundation or powder across the eyelid and the area above it under your eyebrow, then apply a medium shade- to the area on the brow bone - but don't go up to the eyebrow-and then apply the darker color to the outside half of your eyelid stopping at the crease. use a brush to blend and thats it- it seems like alot of steps but it goes pretty fast.

check out this website- it describes it better:

you can also dab the tip of your ring finger (makse sure its clean) across your lipstick if its a pink light color that would look good on your eyes too and brush it against your outer crease of your eyelid for a quick eyeshadow - sounds wierd but i get compliments all the time when i do this...

enjoy!
Ask your mom to take you to the mall. Go to a Lacome, Estee Lauder, Clinique, etc. counter at the store and ask for a make-up consultation. Tell them you want to look natural and not have to spend a lot ot time doing your face. They will teach you all sorts of tips and pick out shades that are perfect for your complexion. Of course they will want you to buy some of their products, which are terribly expensive, but there will probably be some item(s) that you will want to buy.

Take their advice and then head out to Walmart, K-mart, or some such store and go nuts.
Go natural until you get the hang of it, and layer layer layer! thats how you create depth and extraordinary eyes. However since you are working on the eye, ';layering'; is minimal, otherwise you get that yucky eyecrease full of colour. So just really work on blending at colour intersects. One of my favorite eyes is to shadow along the base of the eye with a dark silky brown, then from he crease to the hollow under the brow with a much lighter brown (remember to blend blend blend) and then take a charcoal and line the lids carefully as close to the lashes as possible on top, and on your inner lid on bottom - just in front of the lashes. Complete with mascara and or the clear mascara if you have huge lashes like I do, also I usually have two clear mascara sticks and I use one for my eyes and the other to brush my eyebrows into place. Try one on your eyebrows and you will be surprised and the sophisticated result. Good luck!

One last thing pick one feature and go nuts with it then let the others compliment that feature. Everyday you could focus on a diff one. Because I do this people are always thinking I am diff people when they first meet me :) Its so much fun. But even so remember that your true beauty is when you aren't waering any makeup, I have a couple of days when I don't wear anything to let my face breathe and to feel gorgeous in my own skin!! Makeup should be an additive not a neccessity!
