How do i apply make up really well?

When i put foundation on (which i really really need because i have yucky skin and sorta moustache) it turns out all patchy! I dont understand how people apply it so well. Any help would be very appriciated. Am 14 btw! :]How do i apply make up really well?
use a brush to apply foundation. this will ensure good coverage and make it even. How do i apply make up really well?
you could be using the wrong type of foundation. if your skin is greasy dont use a liquid, use a compact or cream which wont run.

use a sponge (as i tip get it slightly damp first) then apply LIGHTLY. you can also get foundation brushes for liquid foundation but i dont use them as i dont think they are needed.

under the eye area use your ring fingers to dab the foundation, dont rub it as it will smudge and the skin is delacate in that area.

also make sure you finish with a powder, a colourless one is best. this will set the foundation.

also make sure you cleanse tone and moisturise before putting the makeup on so it has a smooth base.

and dont worry about the hair on your top lip, everyone has it! if you really dont like it get it waxed in a salon or if it is dark use facial hair bleach but ask your parents first :)

good luck.
no need to say that I think you're far too young for foundation!

go to a beautician, or to a sales woman in the make up department of your store - she should be able to show you.

I can describe it, but that might not be really helpful...

when you use liquid foundation, put a drop on you hand's back and dip a make up sponge in. start applying on your nose and on the cheeks - always work from the middle of your face to the outside. you don't need much make up, it is more important to work thoroughly and get an even 'layer' on your skin. blend out at the contour, that means: don't take any more make up, but try to make a soft fade out between your skin and the make up (that is also why the tone of make up should be as close as possible to that of your skin).

the last part to put on make up (and only a tiny bit) is under your eyes.

still, I recommend you go for a powder foundation - some mineralic stuff.

easier to apply, a little amount lasts for months, and the one I use really covers blemishes and spots perfectly. btw, I use essence pure mineral make up - kinda cheap, but not bad ;-)
Okay firstly invest in a decent exfolitor and moistoriser. Exfoliate once a week and moistiorise EVERY NIGHT before bed...before doing that though make sure you remove ALL of your make up really well (got a cleanser?) Okay in the morning wash your face with a really hot washcloth and then with a really cold one (this will close the pores) Pat skin dry. Secondly apply a conceiler to dark/red/uneaven bits of skin with your middle finger and blend really well. Let that set for a bit. Then apply your foundation with a foundation brush. Put a bit of foundation on the fleshy part of the back of your hand near your thumb, and dip the brush in. Get it nice and covered but not too much. Start off with a small amount and gradually build up the foundation with a dabbing motion (not like painting lol!) - blending everywhere! (thats under the chin and jawline and hairline) Once this is done, you can use a powder foundtaion to set the look. This should give you a flawless even look without patches! Also for the tash maybe you could ask your mum about getting it waxed?

Oh yeah and before i go - go to a make-up counter in a store/shopping centre (mall) and get them to match you to the right colour, and ask for free samples to take home and try.

Good luck!
First sit in the mirror and have agood old look at you skin colouring.

This will help you get the right foundation colour for your skin and help stop patches.

Also invest in a good brush. I find as well you shouldn't layer make up else it goes patchy so put on quite a thin layer of foundation..

Good luck chuck :)
do u have oily skin?? try using an oil free foundation, be careful with brushes/pads etc as they can make u put on too much, also if you use powder after applying the foundation, then try blotting the skin with tissue after you have put the foundation cream on, it takes off any excess oil, then apply the powder lightly... oh and you could always wax your top lip, either at home or at a salon, really gives a smooth finish... good luck! :)
Invest in a foundation brush... they last forever and they put your foundation on even and smooth plus they use way less foundation so it is worth the money.... also check Pro-activ for your skin or Cetaphil or Cera-Ve they are all great products...and for the mustache check on Nair for the face or have it waxed at a salon... good luck
Get a better foundation.

Try Marcelle or TruBlend by Meybelline if you're on a budget; they're good.

Also, use one part moisturizer (like Dove) and one part foundation. This goes on smoother. If you have a pimple or under eye circles that need EXTRA coverage. Just apply a dab of foundation alone to the spot and blend out.

Good Luck! ;)

P.S.%26gt;%26gt; Some people find cosmetic sponges helpful.
I had the same problem as you! (im 15) -

First of all watching youtube tutorials helps!! I do it all the time!

Make sure you have the right foundation, and that your applying it evenly over your skin. And using a brush or a sponge helps. And theres plenty of bleaching kits in the shops for about 拢5!
well foundation goes on more smoothly if you have an even base. so moisturise your face before you put your foundation on. use a sponge, brush or your fingers depending on what you prefer. i advise you do it in a room with good natural light, then it's easier to see if you look a natural colour lol [:

xox
Definatley invest in a brush or sponge, i have a sponge and it stays on so much longer, for the patchyness i think u would prob need to just dabb foundation lighty over ure skin rather than wiping all the time, it works better :)
Are you moisturising before you apply the foundation?

The moisturiser will create a better surface for the foundtaion.

Remember when it comes to foundation, less is more.
Make sure to put lotion on first or if its thick try mixing the foundation with face lotion first.

You may also be using the wrong foundation for your skin type.
You can get foundation brushes, and foundation pad things. They help to give an even amount of foundation around the face.
watch these videos on make-up techniques: http://youtube.com/user/MichellePhan

:)
make sure you get a color approprite for your skin, and use a mineral (bare minerals) or foam (dream matte), with a light powder finishing.
Use a Primer prior to applying makeup.
I use liquid.

It works before me.

Just put a fine thin amount on to cover up.
well. use a sponge, and you dont need a lot. I use mineral powder, i like that A LOT more
