I am on the verge of telling my family and friends that I am a cross dresser and want to incorporate this in my everyday life. Therefore I want to be able to look my best when I start to go out in public.
I have played with makeup etc but can never quite get it right so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in giving me a hand or even just pointers. If not maybe you could recommend someone in my area?
I live in Canberra, Australia and and willing to travel if need be. All the help I get will be greatly appreciated. Can someone give me a hand applying make up?
Im happy for you and give you my best wishes. Many cross dressers wear foundation to soften the apperane of your skin. Men have different skin than women, you may want to have lazer hair removal on your face to rid of facial hair. Another thing that cross dresses do is wear too much make up, keep it natural looking, I assume that you want people to think that you are in fact born a woman. Can someone give me a hand applying make up?
just take a visit to a make up artist in a hair salon or beauty cosmetics store. if there is a store that u know of that sells make up, beauty products, etc...just go there and there will be a professional who would be more than happy to assist u in ur make up looks. Sephora is a really great a reliable beauty boutique. however, i am not sure if they have locations in austrailia.
Alot of times where you purchase makeup they have people there who are able to help you pick out the right color and shades for your skin. It's difficult to tell u which colors to use without knowing what your skin tone is. I'm sure if u go into a place that sells the makeup and ask for some assitance they'll be more than happy to help you.
ok
1.get the same color fondation as your skin tone, exact!!!!
2.dont ware to much powder dut ware some
3.skip the eyeshadow unless you have veins in your eyes
4.use very very little eyeliner
5.dont use over powering lipstick or youll look weird
5.try to stay away form bright colors,it makes you look obious
Ya, what she said
I think it is great that you want to show everyone the real you. To start I would try wearing natural make up so you don't freak anyone out. Then maybee gradually introduce color to your face. But for now I might stick to subtle gloss and soft eye liner.
Hi, you can find a lot of tips for applying makeup here:

Good Luck!
yeah subtle foundation sounds good for a starter. you can go to a the make up department in a local store and ask them to help you find your shade...but you might wanna be careful about that. i live in this very conservative town and you never know when you might run into a homophobe. but i don't know how australia is...but be careful anyway.
...and maybe a little eyeliner.
