use a makeup with spf in it thats the best way to do it.
yes, you should wear sunscreen under your makeup, or you can buy makeup with sunscreen in it, try looking for a moisturizer with tint, I think they also have sunscreen and they look very light and natural on your face
well if you are talking about your face you put on a special lotion that you put on first and it has suntan lotion in it and then you put your make up on over it.
Many people apply sunscreen the wrong way. Learn how to maximize your sun protection by applying sunscreen properly.

Difficulty: Easy

Time Required: 5 minutes

Here's How:

30 minutes prior to going outdoors, apply sunscreen to areas of the body that will be exposed to the sun. You need to give the product time to be absorbed into the skin.

Sweltering heat and higher humidity can make summer feel like one long bad-beauty day. A full face of makeup feels too heavy, and everything you put on seems to melt by midday. Unfortunately, going barefaced isn't always an option; after all, you need to look polished for work and special occasions such as weddings. To stay fresh-faced even when the mercury is high, try these heat- and humidity-proof makeup formulas and tips.

For Your Face

Sunless tanner

I love this because it gives skin an all-over wash of safe, sun-kissed color--which is all the camouflage many women need in summer. Apply once a week on bare, freshly cleansed skin, blending onto ears and neck to avoid telltale tan lines. Choose a hue that closely matches your skin tone when you tan naturally. For example, if you usually turn a deep bronze, opt for dark (instead of light or medium).

Tinted moisturizer

Offering just the sheerest hint of color, this is a good choice for complexions that don't need a lot of coverage or those that require a bit more than a sunless tanner provides. Look for one with an SPF of 15 or higher, and choose a shade based on your natural skin tone. Try Neutrogena Healthy Defense Moisturizer Light Tint SPF 30 ($12; drugstores).

Oil-free foundation

This works well for uneven complexions that require heavier coverage, especially in the summer, when skin tends to be oilier. Opt for a compact instead of liquid foundation--it's portable and can't spill, and its matte formula helps soak up excess oil. And check the ingredients list for silica, a mineral that reduces shine. Try Bobbi Brown Oil-Free Even Finish Foundation SPF 15 ($38; Bobbi Brown Cosmetics).

Sheer loose powder

A best bet for summer, it's light and evens out skin tone yet knocks out shine. Instead of using a puff (which can deposit too much powder), try a brush and apply just on areas where skin tends to be oilier--like the forehead, nose, and chin.

Blotting papers

These disposable, powder-free paper sheets keep oily areas in check. You can use them as often as you need--unlike powder, which looks cakey if applied too often.

Enlist the help of a friend to apply sunsreen to the areas of the body that you may not be able to reach like the back.

Don't forget to apply sunscreen to areas that are commonly neglected, like the face, hands, neck, and feet.

Every two hours, reapply sunscreen. Reapply after going into the water. If your sunscreen is waterproof, reapply as well. Waterproof and water resistant sunscreen only offers 40-80 minutes of protection.

Use sunscreen daily inall types of weather. The skin is still susceptible to the damaging rays of the sun during cloudy days as well. It needs to be applied during winter months, too.

What You Need:

Sunscreen of your choice
You should get a day time moisturizer that has sunscreen in it, like a SPF 15. Cleanse your face %26amp; neck twice a day; once in the moring %26amp; once in the evening, before bed. Make sure to tone. Before applying make-up, start with clean skin. Apply a moisturizer %26amp; then your make-up. Everyone has their own way of doing things, but here are some basics.

1) Clean skin

2) moisturize w/sunscreen

3) concealer, if needed

4)foundation/base

5) blush

6) powder

7) eyeshadow

8) eye liner

9) mascara

10) lip moisturizer

11) lip liner

12) lip color/lip stick

13) lip gloss

Every time you apply make-up, you don't have to use everything. You should have a daytime look %26amp; then a nighttime look. Good luck.
I use proactive SPF under my makeup. It is the only sunblock that will not make my face break out!
