How can i apply make up more evenly? ?

I have shadows round my eyes(its genetic not really bout sleep) and have quite pale skin that blushes easily so i wear concealer and powder but i find in photos it dont look blended well and a bit chalky or uneven (in terms of tone) any tips on how to even it out or get a nicer texture? cheersHow can i apply make up more evenly? ?
Okay, first, you may not have the correct foundation for your skin type. If your skin is dry, you will need a liquid foundation and you will need latex or rubber sponges to apply the make up evenly and correctly.

If your skin is oily, go with a matte powder and ease on the concealer. If you purchase a good enough foundation, you really shouldn't need concealer. Powder is difficult to apply because it is only meant to be done lightly. Always put on powder foundation with a brush or sponge puff. If you find you aren't getting enough coverage with the powder, you'll need to double up. This is where most girls go wrong and end up looking like cake faces.

You will need a light, yellow tinged concealer, a thin water based liquid foundation and a good quality, light textured powder. This is the method I use for applying make up, and it works best for my skin, which is dry in some places and oily in others...

You will need good lighting when applying make up, and make sure you skin is clean and moisturized. I find putting sunscreen on always helps because it levels the pH balance in your skin.

After cleansing and moisturizing, dot on your concealer, lightly, under your eyes and on any blemishes. Don't over do it on the concealer. Less is ALWAYS best. And remember, you still have two more layers to go.

After you have concealed, take your latex/rubber sponge and put a small amount of foundation on it. Putting liquid foundation on your face is like painting a wall in your house. You start from the edges and work your way in...lightly dab the sponge, starting from UNDER your jawline, where the shadow is, (this will hide your foundation line) and slowly work it in, gradually dabbing to above your jawline. Take a look in the light and make sure it's blended. If it isn't, and the make up has dried, wet your sponge a little and work it in until you have rid the chalk look.

Then start at the top of your forehead, lightly dabbing and blending, working into your hair line. Follow your hair line right around your face and down past your eyes, do your ears, and continue down to your jaw, meeting with the previous line of foundation.

Now start dabbing foundation, from the sponge of course, onto your cheek bones and blend in all over lower half of your face (under the eyes and down), but don't go past the shadow under your jawline.

Make sure all concealer in blended nicely in, remember, if not, wet your sponge and blend in lightly. Now do your forehead, being careful to keep make up even and nicely spread. Go right over your eye lids, right over your nose, don't go right over your eyebrows, but try to blend it it as best you can. After you have finished applying your liquid foundation, just dab the sponge around your face, where the foundation is most proned to build up and look chalky. This will rid any excess foundation.

ALLOW THE LIQUID FOUNDATION TO DRY before apply a LIGHT touch of powder.

Using a brush, lightly powdered, run it gently over your cheek bones. Re-powder the brush and run it gently across your jaw line. Just using the brush now, unpowdered, using circular motions, blend in the powder on the cheek bones, going over the nose, then work your way down to the jaw line, keep moving the brush in circles and slowly cover your whole face, doing your forehead last. Don't re-powder the brush for your forehead...it'll be uunnecessary

You'll need a pretty good brush, one that's soft, big, fluffy. The more you use it, unpowdered, in circuler motions over your face, the more you are likely to achieve a smoother look of foundation over your face. If you find it is still becoming too chalky, ditch the powder, but still use the brush to even out the liquid foundation just as its drying.

If you blush easily, you shouldn't need to apply any.

If you have dark circles under your eyes, wearing heavy and dark eye liner and eye make up is only goingt o accentuate that, so maybe stick with simple black mascara.

Over all, you need to find a good foundation that works with skin. You need one that will blend into your skin, not sit on top of it. You need a light, thin one so it won't clog your pores and will work on easy. Make sure, with your pale skin, that you have the right shade. I have this problem, quite often, but I have found my foundation type and shade and I've been using it for years.

Out of all the make up products and brands I've tried, I would highly rrecommend Avon. They aren't expensive and the foundations are excellent.

Don't ever rush putting your make up on. Applying make up is a skill, an art and it will take some time to adjust the foundation to your skin.

Good luck with your next make up aapplication :) Hope I helped. How can i apply make up more evenly? ?
use a shine control light foundation, but test it to make sure its your colour first.

and then apply that with a brush around your eyes and face,

then with a makeup sponge just go over it and make sure it is all even. then yu can add some powder over the top of that if you wish.

im pale aswell so i stick with natural colours so i occasionally add a little bronzing powder ontop so that i dont look so pale because of the foundation, and dont apply any eyeshadows that are too dark,

i dont know what colour hair you have but greens and blues look great, or even light shades of brown, x
i am indian and have uneven skin tone, and like u have dark eyes cos of my genes grrrr. anyway i have discovered bobbi browns concealer, the first step is a Corrector, i use the Peach, use a concealer brush dampened to apply, then apply their Concealer on top, i use Honey, again use a brush. This really works as the first colour balances out the un even colour and the second matches ur skin exactly and hides shadows.

i use benefit bluff-dust on top, a veeeery fine loose powder on top, that has just ran out and i tried http://www.eyeslipsface.co.uk/product~pr鈥?/a> and it works really well and much cheaper. the brushes are very good on that site as well
EXFOLIATION and a good moisturizer for your skin needs/type.

Apricot scrub (you can find cheaply at the grocery store) will leave your skin feeling soft, looking brighter. Use a moisturizer with SPF of course, and if you want to go the extra mile to prep your skin for make up to be applied more evenly, get a good foundation primer. I usually only use my primer for special occassions or when I need my make up to look perfect (you can definitely use it everyday though) but it helps make up to be applied more smoothly, and to STAY PUT.

P.S.- IF you REALLY want something that will completely even your skin tone and work wonders, try ALPHA HYDROX SOUFFLE-it's a glycolic acid treatment and without scrubbing (it's a leave on cream), exfoliates your skin. Super Super cheap also!! But it's the best!

To look up beauty product reviews if you do not know which work or which work best (you'd be surprised to know that it's not always the most expensive brands..which is good news) check out my FAV review website:

Well, when i apply my foundation powder, i tend to put a mirror on the window ledge, and apply in from there, it's because the lights more natural, and shows how your make-up looks, it means you apply less - so its better for your skin, and also makes it look more even and less cakey and un-even.

Hope this helps, good luck ;xx
use the new mineral powder foundation, maybelline do a nice one with different shades.
