How should i apply make-up to make my eyes appear bigger???

i put eye-liner on..but sometimes i think it makes them look smaller :/How should i apply make-up to make my eyes appear bigger???
Eye liner will make your eyes look smaller if you line the entire lid. To make your eyes look bigger, line 3/4 of the top lid, and only 1/2 of the bottom lid. Use black only if you have dark hair and dark eyes. Otherwise, choose a smokey grey or a brown. Also, put a lighter shadow or liner on the parts of your lids that are not lined. Last but not least, don't forget to curl your lashes before you apply macara (and ALWAYS wear mascara when you've got make up on your eyes!).

Peace!

P.S. Without being a total jerk, DO NOT listen to what the person above me wrote. They have it wrong. It's FASHION colour on the lids, darker shade of fashion colour (or dark neutral colour) in crease, and lighter colour highlighting the browbone (just underneath your eyebrow). Do not highlight your browbone unless your eyebrows are well maintained; a shimmery highlight will draw negative attention to a less-than-attended eyebrow.

(and just in case you're wondering, a ';fashion colour'; is any colour that you choose to wear...purple, grey, taupe, neon orange...whatever you want to show off.)How should i apply make-up to make my eyes appear bigger???
put on dark dark eyeliner nd dark dark mascara
to make your eyes look bigger you can put white eyeliner on the inner lid then black eye liner on the outer lid

or wear sparkly light eye shadow
only line the top of your eyes, also use a white liner on the inner bottom lid. it makes eyes appear bigger or more open.
I took sdtsgr makeup class back in college, and here's something you might want to try. Place a dot of eyeliner in the center edge of your upper eyelids.
For starters don't apply liner along your entire eye.

Use white eyeliner on the inside rim of your lower lid. This will help make your eyes look brighter and larger. If you do chose to use color go with brown or grey. Black is too harsh and causes your eyes to recede.

Also use a light colored eyeshadow on your lid. Something with a shimmer will help make your eyes sparkle a little.

RULE OF THUMB:

LIGHT REFLECTS AND DARK RECEDES.
I believe the eyeliner does make your eyes look smaller...What I do is put mascarra only on the top lashes..that seems to make it appear bigger
My makeup artist steps:

One could argue that the eyes are the most important feature of the face, since we tend to look at them the most. To make them stand out, follow the tips below.

Steps:

1. Use eyeliner only on the outer rim of the eyelids, not the inner rim.

2. Blend eyeliner with a cotton swab rather than leaving it as a harsh line.

3. Avoid drawing eyeliner on the inner corner of the lower lid; instead, start the line at the beginning of eyelash growth or even closer to the middle of the eye.

4. Use a light shade of eye shadow on the upper lid leading up to the brow, which will open up the eye. A darker color can be used in the fold of the eye.

5. Curl your eyelashes with an eyelash curler before applying mascara.

6. Try a black mascara if brown does not bring out your eyes enough.

hope this helps.
only put eyeliner on the top lid, and use lighter, sparkly eyeshadow, it will open them up
Don't use eyeliner. Get one of those slanted eye shadow brushes and a black or charcoal eyeshadow and use the brush to apply the black shadow as liner but only on the top and bring it out to a little past the corner of your eye. It gives you a smoky, sexy look and it helps your eyes look bigger. If you have small eyes, eyeliner is not for you.
I put like a white shimmer on the inside corners of my eyes, right by my nose, it makes them look more OPEN!
The color of you eye shadow helps. dark color by your brows, lighter color on your lids and a nuterual on the crease
